Marking a new chapter in Kuwait’s corporate and healthcare history, the grand finale of Metro Medical Group’s 10th anniversary was celebrated in a magnificent manner, emerging as a moment of pride for the Indian expatriate community. Planned and executed under Indian management leadership, the event evolved into a platform for discussions of international relevance. Held at the Regency Hotel, Salmiya, the program stood out for its exceptional standards, massive public participation, and outstanding organizational excellence. The celebration became a historic milestone highlighting the global growth of Kuwait’s healthcare sector and the credibility of Indian-led institutions. Several key topics were discussed, emphasizing India’s valuable contribution to Kuwait’s healthcare landscape, making it a source of pride for the nation.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of Sheikh Azam Mubarak Al-Nasser Al-Sabah as the Chief Guest. In his address, he congratulated Metro Medical Group and praised its significant contributions to Kuwait’s healthcare sector. He emphasized that Metro Medical Group would continue to play a vital role in the future development of healthcare in Kuwait. The event was officially inaugurated by Sayyid Munavvar Ali Shihab Thangal, a prominent religious, social, and cultural leader and a member of the Panakkad family. Due to the ongoing Kerala Legislative Assembly session, Kerala Health Minister Veena George and Speaker Shamseer Nasser were unable to attend; however, their representative, Kuttanad MLA Thomas K. Thomas, inaugurated the first session of the event. Additionally, 26 embassy officials and ambassadors attended the program. Senior officials from various ministries, eminent personalities from healthcare, commerce, and industry, as well as leaders from religious, social, and cultural organizations, were present. With representatives from multiple countries, the event became a rare international congregation in Kuwait’s history, symbolizing the strong global influence of Indian-led institutions in the country’s healthcare sector.

A specially produced video presentation highlighting Metro Medical Group’s decade-long growth journey was one of the main attractions of the event. The video showcased Kuwait’s earlier healthcare conditions, Metro’s inception, its consistent service excellence, present achievements, and its future vision for healthcare. It received wide appreciation and sparked meaningful discussions. Another special video featuring the experiences and vision of Founder Chairman and CEO Mustafa Hamza deeply moved the audience and paved the way for serious deliberations.

The Chairman announced that a new treatment initiative—incorporating advanced medical practices, innovative technologies, and a specialized “Team Doctors” system—would be launched across all major Metro Medical Group branches starting in February.

Individuals who played a decisive role in Metro Medical Group’s growth and success over the past decade were honored at the ceremony. Employees who completed ten years of service received a memento, certificate, and KD 2,000 each as a mark of appreciation. Additionally, individuals, institutions, management team members, and team leaders who made invaluable contributions to the organization’s progress were honored with special awards and mementos. All companies and organizations that continuously supported Metro Medical Group since its inception were also recognized with mementos. Chairman Mustafa Hamza emphasized that their sustained cooperation was instrumental in achieving a decade of service excellence.

One of the key highlights of the event was the official announcement of comprehensive employee welfare and social development initiatives, to be launched in February.

  • Through the “Mercy” project, designed to ensure the emotional and financial security of employees’ parents, monthly pensions and support for medical and daily living expenses will be provided.
  • The “Motive” project aims to support employees’ children by offering scholarships and training opportunities to deserving students facing financial challenges, thereby strengthening their future prospects.
  • The “Merit” project honors long-serving employees by providing lifetime pensions ranging from ₹20,000 to ₹1,00,000 to those who complete ten years of service, ensuring long-term financial security.
These initiatives, which extend care beyond employees to their families, were widely recognized as a rare and exemplary welfare model in the private healthcare sector and a strong reflection of Metro Medical Group’s human-centric vision.

The announcements were received with enthusiastic applause. Attendees noted that implementing such comprehensive welfare programs in the private healthcare sector was both impressive and inspiring, setting a new benchmark by prioritizing employee well-being and family security.

Considering Kuwait’s climatic conditions, the event was organized as an invitation-only gathering, with around 3,000 attendees. A lavish banquet and high-standard arrangements were provided, showcasing Metro Medical Group’s international operational excellence and professional efficiency.

Cultural performances by artists from various countries added a sense of global cultural unity to the event, bringing together the beauty and heritage of diverse cultures on one stage.

During the concluding segment, a soulful ghazal performance by renowned Malayalam singer Shahabaz Aman and his team captivated the audience. The emotionally rich musical presentation enthralled the crowd, turning the venue into a sea of excitement. Shahabaz Aman and his team were honored with mementos following their performance.

Expressing immense satisfaction over the historic success of the event, Metro Medical Group management conveyed heartfelt gratitude to all distinguished guests, ambassadors, embassy officials, international delegates, diplomats, elected representatives, supporting companies, associations, employees, and members of the Kuwaiti expatriate community who contributed to the grand success of the celebration.

The management also acknowledged the crucial support and cooperation extended by the Kuwait Ministry of Health (MOH), which played a decisive role in both Metro Medical Group’s continued growth and the smooth execution of the event. Special gratitude and respect were extended to the Kuwait Government, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Hamad Al-Sabah for their visionary leadership. The management noted that such strong governmental backing and institutional collaboration are instrumental in elevating Kuwait as a global healthcare hub.
The event concluded with discussions on future healthcare technologies, digital health systems, and modern advancements in medical treatment. More than a celebration of ten years of service excellence, Metro Medical Group’s 10th anniversary grand finale stood as a powerful declaration of an internationally recognized healthcare platform built in Kuwait under Indian leadership.
