Multiple Specialist Doctors, One Consultation: Metro Medical Group Introduces a New Model of Integrated Care

August 9, 2026

Super Metro Specialized Medical Center, Salmiya, part of Metro Medical Group, has launched its ‘Multi-Speciality Medical Panel’ service, introducing what it describes as a new, comprehensive approach to diagnosis and treatment in the GCC. The innovative service enables specialists from different medical disciplines to jointly evaluate a patient during a single consultation and develop a coordinated diagnosis and treatment plan. The initiative has been introduced with the aim of providing patients with more accurate, coordinated, and patient-centred care.

The service was inaugurated by Mr. Mustafa Hamsa, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Metro Medical Group, along with General Manager Mr. Mohamed Shawky, Pharmacy General Manager Dr. Ramshad Bin Raheem, Chief Financial Officer Aliyul Azhar Thangal, Operations Manager Ms. Jisha Varghese, Corporate Business Manager Mr. Faisal Hamsa, as well as Metro Group partners and medical directors.

The primary objective of the initiative is to ensure that a patient’s health condition is not viewed within the limits of a single speciality. Instead, diagnosis and treatment plans are developed based on the combined assessment of specialists from multiple medical disciplines. According to the management, this approach can reduce the need for patients to visit different hospitals and specialists separately, while enabling doctors to identify the underlying cause of a condition more accurately and provide more effective treatment.

Metro has established four dedicated Multi-Speciality Medical Panels to address different health concerns. Each panel brings together specialists from relevant medical disciplines along with specialists in Internal Medicine. Patients will have access to the combined expertise of specialists in Cardiology, Neurology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, and Gastroenterology. Patients will be directed to the most appropriate medical panel based on the nature of their health concerns.

As part of the panel consultation, specialists conduct a detailed review of the patient’s current symptoms, previous medical records, laboratory test results, and scan reports before jointly developing an appropriate treatment plan. When required, additional medical and diagnostic services, including surgery, MRI, CT scans, ultrasound, X-ray, laboratory services, and physiotherapy, are also available at Metro. A pick-up and drop-off service has also been arranged for the convenience of patients.

Metro management further stated that patients registered under the Multi-Speciality Medical Panel will have access to free follow-up consultations with specialists from the same panel, whenever required, until the patient’s treatment file is closed. This facility is intended to ensure that every stage of the patient’s treatment can progress under the continued, coordinated supervision of the specialist team.

Metro Medical Group stated that the Multi-Speciality Medical Panel service has been introduced with the goal of identifying the underlying cause of a health condition rather than focusing solely on symptoms, thereby ensuring comprehensive, patient-centred care. The management expressed hope that the initiative will establish a new model for integrated specialist healthcare in Kuwait.
